New PS3 Firmware and a delayed patch…

According to the new Sony Blog, the PS3 is getting a new firmware upgrade today to 1.81. The new update includes a bug fix to a previous upgrade where in choosing RGB Full when using an HDMI connection would eventually revert back to Limited. Also the upgrade contains more PS2 compatibility improvements.

Along with that announcement was another about the patch to MotorStorm. Apparently there was a bug in latest patch which might possibly mess up network connections, and so they’ve delayed the patch in order to find the problem. Sounds like a good idea really, because I personally prefer my games without bugs, though, I don’t know about the rest of you. I guess that does not matter all that much, considering I don’t have a PS3, but still!
