Confirmed: US Xbox 360 gets $50 price cut August 8

Straight from the maker’s mouth comes word that the Xbox 360 Premium bundle will be marked down to $349.99 from its current $399.99 price point on Wednesday. Additionally, the Core package is getting a $20 cut to $279.99 and the Elite bundle is dropping $30 to $449.99. Microsoft’s press release also notes the upcoming Halo 3 Special Edition console, which will retail for $399.99 and include everything the Premium has with a few more bells and whistles, in addition to a Spartan armor-like finish.
