After a pretty solid month of releases, the games industry kicks off April to deliver some truly underwhelming titles. Don’t worry, GTA IV and Mario Kart Wii are right around the corner, but we’ve got to wade through the crap to get to it first. Hit the jump for a “list” of this week’s notable releases. (more…)
This weeks game is Kong, a top down shooter sporting several different weapons, gametypes, and multiplayer. Kong features apes that are, apparently, thirsty for some ape blood. Using a wide arsenal of weapons you can find laying around, your objective is to kill as many enemies as possible and win. (more…)
This week sees a new iteration in the ever so over-saturated world of Final Fantasy VII, a game that initially looked to be one of the first next-gen releases before a series of Duke Nukem Forever-like delays, and a few other titles of interest. Is there anything in it for you? Hit the jump to find out. (more…)

Welcome to the first Free Game Friday article! Free Game Friday will be biweekly article I’ll write on some free game for the PC. The games will differ each time and will span all the game genres. Some of the games I write about may already be popular, others may quite possibly be in their beta stages. I’ll do the best I can to get something unique every single article though. (more…)
Both the Call of Duty 4 and Unreal Tournament 3 demos for the PC have been released. I highly, highly recommend both of these if your computer can handle it. Below are the links to them.
The souped up PC Game, Crysis has finally released the System Requirements on their main website. Let’s just say that your going to need one hell of a system to play this game. (more…)
Recently the original Command and Conquer game, “Tiberian Dawn” was released on the internet for free to hype up the latest C&C game, “Kanes Wrath,” which will be released in the second quarter of 2008. If you’ve never played the Command and Conquer series, this is a great time to start.
The game is fully compatible with Windows XP, and requires very little specifications to run. So, what are you waiting for? Go play it now!
Metroid Prime 3: Corruption was released on Tuesday. It has a 91% average review, according to Game Rankings. Nintendo Power gave the game a 10/10, which is surprising, as only one other game - the Gamecube version of Resident Evil 4 - has received a 10/10 from Nintendo Power. The only review not in the 90s or higher is GameSpot, which gave MP3 an 8.5.
As a buildup to the release of MP3, Nintendo released the original Metroid on the Virtual Console on August 13, followed by Super Metroid on August 20. This is the first time Super Metroid has been re-released since the Super Nintendo era. If you haven’t played this, go download it now!

You may also have heard of some little game called BioShock that’s making the rounds right now. If you haven’t heard about it, don’t worry. It’s only the fourth best game ever. It’s available now on both PC and Xbox 360.

According to a press release, Sony is releasing a white PS2 packaged with SingStar and 2 mics. The MSRP is $150. I think we all know what console they may be trying to emulate.
Crazy, right? Blizzard is just one step closer to complete and total world domination. Blizzard announced today that they’ve finally reached their new milestone of 9million, active, players. They expect this number to greatly increase when they release the Burning Crusade expansion in China, which it will undoubtedly do.
It wouldn’t be extremely surprising if Blizzard flipped the ‘mind-control’ switch sometime after the BC release in China to enslave all those currently playing. I mean, it’s not like that haven’t already, but just to make sure their rule is permanent…
