It’s official. Sega doesn’t know what to do with Sonic.

Sonic and The Dark Knight

As if working on two versions of Sonic Unleashed isn’t enough (360/PS3 and Wii/PS2) isn’t enough. Sega decided to make another Sonic game too. And it’s this. Sonic and The Black Night. This picture of it was found on the September Issue of Nintendo Power. Apparently, the game is a Wii Exclusive and is a sequel to Sonic and the Secret Rings. I’m not even going to bother ranting on why this idea is horrible, I’m pretty sure everyone can figure it out.

If you wish, you can discuss it here, at the D-Pad Forums:

Today on the Smash Bros. DOJO website, it was announced that the game will now be released February 10th 2008 in the Americas. While this may be disappointing it isn’t bad. This gives them more time to perfect the game. Looks like were gonna have to wait until ‘08 to play it.

Spider-Man: Friend or Foe

June 19th, 2007 posted by Turbohog in General News

At least one of the groups behind Spider-Man 3: The Game is creating a new game, Spider-Man: Friend or Foe. Once again, it is a game behind Sam Raimi’s critically acclaimed Spider-Man movies. The difference here, is that instead of reliving classic scenes from the movies, you’re reliving classic scenes from the movies with comical twists and changes, such as a funky lookin’ Green Goblin. Little news has been released, apart from a supposed “Friend or Foe” system, where, after defeating a boss, you can make them become your sidekick. Wait, what? Yeah, you heard me.

Pathetic glitches in Sonic 2 for Wii…

June 17th, 2007 posted by Turbohog in Reviews

Today, I decided to buy Sonic the Hedgehog 2 on the Wii Virtual Console. At first it seems just like the original, but soon I’ve experienced strange glitches, from rolling through a loop and then suddenly get stuck in a ceiling to misplaced tiles to beating levels and discovering that you’ve freed explosion tiles instead of animals. I don’t understand how Sega messed this up as all games on the Wii Virtual Console are just roms being played on an emulator. Everything else is perfect though. The physics are still the same, along with the music and everything else. At least it’s not the mess of crap that Sega called Sonic The Hedgehog Genesis.

If you already have Sonic 2 on a collection or have the original, don’t bother wasting your money on this. If you don’t, it’s still pretty good besides the glitches. Sega needs to start releasing games without glitches, especially if it’s just a re release.

Anyways, that’s my rant for today. I’ll probably post here again.
