I wasn’t expecting to be interested in anything happening at Ubidays - maybe some info on the new Raving Rabbids or Tom Clancy games, but lo and behold, Ubisoft has just warmed the hearts of niche gamers everywhere.

Beyond Good & Evil for the Playstation 2, Xbox, and Gamecube was a critical hit but bombed at retail - usually a recipe to kill a franchise. So then it’s a very rare case that Ubisoft is willing to take a risk and has green-lighted a sequel. If you’re reading this and you haven’t played the original, go grab it off Steam - it’s only ten bucks and it’s one of the best games from the last generation. Creator Michael Ancel stated that the game was meant to be a trilogy, and thank’s to Ubisoft we’re getting part two. Let’s make sure it’s worth their while this time around so we can get part three. Beyond Good & Evil 2 hits in 2009.
