Jack Thompson Sanctioned, Neutered

GamePolitics brings news that the Florida Supreme Court has sanctioned everybody’s favorite Miami lawyer, Jack Thompson. Thompson spent the last week fulfilling a show cause order explaining why they shouldn’t sanction him, but apparently the court doesn’t think his reasons were good enough.

This means that Thompson is no longer allowed to file anything with the court using his own name, so if he wants to keep harassing game developers, he’ll have to hire someone to do it for him. The Supreme Court also said that if he violates this sanction that he could face contempt charges, but apparently that didn’t stop him from trying to do it already. We’ll let you know if they bring any charges against him in the coming days.
