Apparantly IGN got a Hands-On Sneak Peek of the new Mario Kart Game. Here’s the link to the full article:

I will list the most significant things here…

- Steering Wheel Included

-Five Control Types, Steering Wheel, Wii Remote, Wii Remote and Nunchuck, Classic Controller, and Gamecube Controller.

-Grand Prix Mode includes 50cc, 100cc, and 150cc.

-Races now have 12 karts instead of 8.

-Motorcycles

-50cc in Grand Prix is Kart Exclusive

-100cc in Grand Prix is Motorcycle exculsive

-150cc in Grand Prix is optional

-Motorcycles can perform whellies, which will give you a boost over time

-Motorcycles turn a bit slower than karts

-New trick mechanic, at the top of a jump flick wheel upwards for a trick, and when landing receive a boost. (ala Sonic Riders)

-Starting Character Roster includes Baby Mario, Baby Peach, Toad, Koopa, Mario, Luigi, Yoshi, Princess Peach, Wario, Waluigi, Donkey Kong, and Bowser

-Ability to race as Mii characters

-At least 32 courses, 16 old, 16 new

-When a shell or other item is approaching, the wii remote makes an alert sound

-Wi-Fi Supported, up to 12 player races
-Battle Mode also on Wi-Fi

- Lots of stats for each player
