Project H.A.M.M.E.R. Canceled?

IGN UK has reported that a Wii action title under the alias of Project H.A.M.M.E.R. seems to have been canceled. The game was originally going to feature robots who invade cities across the United States, with the player playing as a powerful cyborg with a deadly weapon in order to stop these robots. The game was announced back in E3 2006, but it seems that the title is being discontinued by Nintendo. It was last seen at that particular E3 convention.

The rumor is currently unconfirmed. Nintendo has not given word on the cancellation, and, according to IGN, they have not changed the release date on their press site, which remains at “TBA.”
